Salvation is the Ultimate Finish Line
The Gift of Eternal Life (Salvation)
"God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life" (John 3:16).
Every person is a sinner. Because of our sin, we are destined to hell for eternity. But because God loved his people, He sent His only Son, Jesus, to make a way for believers to live eternally (forever) in heaven.
Although Jesus has always been alive as God the Son, He was born on earth as the perfect human. He lived without sin, performed miracles, and taught the truth. Jesus took the punishment that we as sinners deserve by dying on the cross. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead, conquering death and sin, allowing us to live forever when we believe in Him.
Jesus is the only path to eternal life in heaven.
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" (John 14:6)
"You can’t be saved by believing in anyone else. God has given us no other name under heaven that will save us" (Acts 4:12).
God has promised to give eternal life to everyone who accepts Jesus’ free gift of salvation. He asks us to accept His gift and receive eternal life with God in heaven.
How to Receive Salvation
"If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." Romans 10:9-10
1. Acknowledge your need for forgiveness:
Recognize that you are a sinner and have made mistakes.
2. Repent from your sins:
Turn away from your wrongdoings and acknowledge that they are not pleasing to God.
3. Believe in Jesus:
Believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that he died for your sins, and that he rose again.
4. Confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior:
Acknowledge him as the one who can save you and that you are willing to live your life according to his teachings.
5. Invite Jesus into your heart:
Through prayer, ask Jesus to come into your life and take control.
When we place our faith and trust in Jesus Christ the Bible says we are saved. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Joel 2:32 Acts 2:21 and Romans 10:13)
